The lesson
Paperclip-style products coordinate many agents as if they were employees in a company. The user defines roles, reporting lines, goals, task queues, budgets, permissions, and approval gates.
The mental model is different from OpenClaw. OpenClaw is closer to a personal agent employee; Paperclip is closer to the company control room that assigns work and monitors many employees.
Professional users must watch cost, duplicated work, unapproved tool use, lost context, and unclear responsibility. Org charts and budgets are not decoration; they are safety mechanisms.
